Meet the Artist
Hi, I’m Amanda. I grew up in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere North Carolina, and making things has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember. As a child I dreamed of being an artist, and in sixth grade I learned about Vincent Van Gogh—his passion lit a spark in me that’s never gone out.
I love creating in many forms: sewing, embroidery, polymer clay, making bags and wallets, and yes, painting too. For me, the medium is simply a way to follow whatever my heart is asking to be made. I play with color, texture, and form—sometimes stitching a tiny scene into fabric, sometimes shaping a charm from clay, sometimes sewing a new bag that carries a story. Each piece is an experiment, a memory, a little celebration of imagination.
In 1998 I lost my biggest supporter—my mom. She believed in me before I fully believed in myself, and her encouragement lives on in everything I create. From that moment I promised myself I’d do whatever it took to make my creative dream a reality.
I’m driven by a lifelong curiosity and a desire to share what I make with others. My work reflects the things that make my heart feel alive—nature, animals, everyday beauty—and the joy of learning new techniques and combining them in unexpected ways. Every project is a tribute to that dream, to my mom, and to the freedom of creating what feels true.
